Had the opportunity to design the logo for such a fun and unique annual fundraising event that is based on the Fêtes de Bayonne which is a Feria in the Northern Basque Country in the town of Bayonne, France.

Challenge

Develop branding for a unique annual fundraising event that is based on the fêtes de Bayonne which is a feria in the Northern Basque Country in the town of Bayonne, France. The branding needed to work across many digital spaces as well as on merchandise and print assets like t shirts, posters, flyers, pins, tents.

Solution

I hand drew variations of corky styled word marks, mixing cases and using wide range of different pens, brushes and markers. This added the playfulness and rustic appeal reference the festivals long history. For this event after studying the old Fêtes de Bayonne posters. I decided that at the forefront for this design there had to be a high level of festive energy. Ultimately I pulled from several different versions of my drawings to create the mix matched dynamic logo that matches the levity of the event in France.
