Selected to design pieces for the college that I attended as a part of an advanced course. I choose to create hand drawn art to be applied to LCAD merchandise, tees, hoodies, laptop cases ect..
Challenge
Create a line of apparel and accessories to populate the Laguna College of Art and Design’s online student store. There was a small selection of students chosen for this project and we each created an original line that represented different aspects of our schools community.
Solution
This line for Laguna College of Art and Design focused on the roots of the art school. Founded in the year 1961 LCAD had its start as a drawing and sculpture school so everything for this line was hand drawn and inspired by posters and statues on campus from that time period.
Process
I incorporated photos I took of iconic statues from campus into my designs in order to make the apparel and accessories more personal to the students. Every design is also hand drawn and inspired by posters and statues on campus from the 60s, the decade LCAD was founded in.
